Custom cast bronze · Made for your project
Mily Art creates bronze animal statues for private gardens, estates, ranches, schools, hotels, resorts, zoos, parks and commercial landmarks. You may select a design from our existing animal molds, adapt the size and patina of a current model, or commission a completely new sculpture from photographs, drawings or a design brief.
This collection is dedicated to cast bronze. It does not include resin, fiberglass or a surface described only as a “bronze finish.” For a custom project, our team can help define the animal species, anatomy, pose, scale, viewing direction, base and anchoring requirements before the sculpture enters production.

Each collection includes existing designs that can be ordered as shown or discussed as the starting point for a custom bronze animal sculpture.
What can be changed
Customization is more than changing the height. A convincing result depends on how the animal, site and installation work together.
Commission a general wildlife subject, a specific breed, a school mascot, a working animal or a portrait of a real pet or horse.
Standing, running, rearing, resting and family compositions create different energy. Facial expression, ears, tails, wings and antlers can be refined.
Choose a compact garden piece, a life-size animal, an oversized landmark or a multi-figure group planned around the main viewing distance.
Discuss classic brown, dark antique, black, verdigris or a layered chemical patina that highlights fur, feathers, muscles and other details.
Rock forms, bronze bases, stone plinths, hidden anchor frames and removable transport sections can be planned for the installation site.
Final crate size, route, unloading equipment and installation access should be considered early, especially for large antlers, wings or monumental groups.
First-hand project examples
These examples from Mily’s published project guides show why the right production path depends on likeness, budget, deadline and installation conditions.
A client supplied approximately fifteen photographs of her Golden Retriever, Buddy. During the 1:1 clay-model review, the sculptor adjusted the dog’s characteristic folded ear before approval. The finished bronze received a warm brown patina with lighter highlights and was installed in Buddy’s favorite garden location.
Read the complete photo-to-bronze case →A Texas high school needed a powerful stalking panther but had a defined budget. Selecting an existing panther mold avoided a new clay model and reduced the project cost by more than $1,200, leaving additional funds for the campus stone base.
See the bronze mascot cost guide →A customer required paired life-size bronze lions for an entrance within two months. Mily’s mold library provided a suitable design, removing the new-model stage and allowing casting and finishing to be completed within the schedule while avoiding separate modeling fees.
Compare existing molds with new models →For a Texas estate project, anchor-frame drawings were sent before shipment so the local contractor could pour the foundation while the horse was still being finished. When the sculpture arrived, the prepared base allowed installation to be completed in about half a day.

The approval points help reduce surprises: form and likeness are resolved before casting, and the completed patina is checked again before packing.
Send the animal, preferred pose, dimensions, site photographs, delivery location and required completion date.
Choose an existing mold, adapt an available model or begin a fully original commission from photographs or drawings.
For new designs, the artist develops the full form and sends progress views so anatomy, pose and expression can be revised.
The approved model moves through molding, wax reproduction, ceramic shell, bronze casting, welding and detail chasing.
Chemical patina is applied by hand. Final photographs, close-ups and a walk-around video can be reviewed before packing.
The sculpture is protected for international transport, with crate, unloading and installation needs confirmed for the destination.
Completed at the foundry
Use these completed works as scale, grouping and patina references. The final design can be adjusted for your landscape or architectural setting.
Design for the setting
Horses, deer, lions, bears and wildlife families can anchor lawns, drives, courtyards and water features.
Tigers, panthers, eagles, bears, bulls and other mascots create a recognizable campus landmark.
Large compositions can support local wildlife themes, education, wayfinding and memorable public gathering points.
Animal groups can reinforce a destination theme while creating prominent photo and arrival moments.
A specific dog, horse or companion animal can be recreated from several clear photographs and personal details.
Choose the right production route
An existing mold is often efficient when the pose already fits the project. A new model is the right choice when likeness, species accuracy or a unique composition matters most.
| Decision | Existing Mold | Adapted Existing Design | Fully Custom Model |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Classic designs and tighter schedules | Projects needing size, patina or base changes | Pets, exact breeds, mascots and original compositions |
| Clay modeling | Usually not required | Depends on how much the pose changes | New clay model and approval required |
| Creative control | Design remains substantially as shown | Moderate changes within technical limits | Highest control over anatomy, pose and expression |
| Budget effect | Avoids a separate new-model fee | Depends on the extent of changes | Includes original sculpting and mold creation |
| What to send | Product link and required size | Product link plus marked changes | Multiple photos, dimensions and a detailed brief |
Plan an accurate quote
The final quote depends on the sculpture rather than the animal name alone. Size, pose complexity, number of figures, new modeling work, bronze casting requirements, patina, internal structure, base, packing and destination all affect the project.
For large outdoor animals, plan the foundation, anchor points, access route and unloading equipment before the crate arrives. Antlers, wings, horns and extended legs can also influence transport sections and crate dimensions.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. This landing page is intended for cast bronze animal statues. It does not promote resin, fiberglass, stainless steel or products described only as having a bronze-effect surface. Confirm the material specification on the individual product and quotation.
Yes. Provide clear front, side, rear and three-quarter views where possible, plus close-ups of the face and any distinctive markings. The desired pose and final dimensions are also important. A new clay model can then be developed and reviewed before bronze casting.
Size, patina and base changes are usually straightforward to discuss. A major pose change may require a new clay model because the anatomy, balance and mold structure must be rebuilt. Send the existing product link and mark the changes you want.
For an original commission, the clay model is the primary approval stage. Progress photographs and videos allow you to review the form from several angles. Casting should begin only after the approved model reflects the requested anatomy, pose and expression.
Bronze is widely used for long-term outdoor sculpture. Casting quality, wall thickness, internal structure, drainage, anchoring, surface treatment and local exposure all matter. Basic cleaning and periodic wax maintenance help preserve a chosen patina.
An existing mold normally avoids the separate cost and time required for an original clay model and new production mold. However, total price still depends on size, casting complexity, patina, base, packing and freight. Significant changes to an existing design may reduce that saving.
The main variables are whether a new model is required, the sculpture’s size and number of figures, revision time, casting complexity, patina approval, packing and international transport. Share a required unveiling or installation date at the beginning so feasibility can be assessed.
International packing and delivery options can be included in the project discussion. For large animals, the local site may need a forklift or crane, a prepared concrete foundation and anchor hardware. Site photographs, delivery address and access dimensions help identify these needs early.
Send the animal reference, preferred dimensions, installation setting and delivery location. Mily Art can check the existing mold library or recommend the next step for a fully custom bronze animal sculpture.
